Sovereign Military Order of Malta
The Templar Sovereign Military Order of Malta, known officially as "Knights of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem," (but also known as the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta, Order of St. John, Knights of Malta, Knights Hospitaller , and Chevaliers of Malta) is a Christian organization that began as an Amalfitan hospital founded in Jerusalem during the first Crusade, approximately 1080, by the Italian friar Gerardo da Sasso to assist and provide care for poor, sick or injured pilgrims to the Holy Land. His successor, Raymond du Puy, finished the work with the creation of an armed branch composed of crusader knights in 1099 after the Christian conquest of Jerusalem. The Templar Sovereign Military Order of Malta has been known also as "Knights of Rhodes", and as the "Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta." It was at first a charitable Order, while the Templars was from the first a military one. With the fall of the Latin kingdom of Jerusalem in 1291, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta retired to the island of Rhodes. In 1522 the Turks finally took Rhodes, and the Hospitallers removed to Malta. Here they remained till 1793, when Napoleon took Malta, and added it to the French Republic. This ended it as a sovereign power. While the Sovereign Military Order of Malta had to leave Malta, shorn of their old power and great wealth, they still continued on in different countries. The Knights took with them from Malta their precious relics--chief among them being the hand of St. John the Baptist, the miraculous image of Our Lady of Pherlemon, and a fragment of the true cross.

The Templar Knights, Monks and Soldiers, Guardians of the Faith, Guardians of the Holy Land, and Guardians of the Pilgrims. The Templar Knight order, of religious and military character, was founded in Jerusalem in the year 1118 by nine crusader knights. with the official denomination of "Order of the Poor Knight of Christ". Later they were known by the "Knight of Solomon's Temple" (Templar) denomination after establishing themselves in King Solomon's ancient temple. The Pope Inocencio II recognized the order of the Templar in the year 1139.
All cotton made clothing, composed by a white colored tunic and cloak, both provided with a sewn red Templar cross. Typical dress of a knight of the Templar order (1118-1314). accessories not included.

The Templar Knight Great Helm Helmet by Marto of Toledo Spain , also called a Pot Helm, was the typical helmet used by the crusaders and by the Templars in particular for the whole duration of the Crusades. Its name comes from the shape which is very similar to a pot and due to the necessity to offer the best possible protection to the head. However, the view capabilities were greatly reduced letting possible only the frontal view and for this reason this helm was used also by cavalry for charges or tourneys. This model is made in steel enriched by a brass cross used to denote the knight affiliation to the army of God and by a series of traceries in the shape of crosses useful to improve the air access inside the helm. The helm comes with a practical metallic display stand.

Knights of St John Sword
This is a decorative sword inspired by the Order of St John of Jerusalem. The Hospitallers, known officially as "Knights of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem," was founded in Jerusalem during the first Crusade by the Italian friar Gerardo da Sasso to assist the pilgrims travelling the Holy Land. His successor, Raymond du Puy, finished the work with the creation of an armed branch composed of crusader knights. The order has also been known as the "Knights of Rhodes", and as the "Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta." This order was at first a charitable Order, while the Templars were the first military one. With the fall of the Latin kingdom of Jerusalem in 1291, the Knights retired to the island of Rhodes. In 1522 the Turks finally took Rhodes, and the Hospitallers retreated to Malta. Here they remained till 1793, until Napoleon took Malta, and added it to the French Republic. This ended the sovereign power of the Order. While the Knights of St John had to leave Malta, shorn of their old power and great wealth, they still continued on in different countries. The Knights of St John took with them from Malta their precious relics--chief among them being the hand of St. John the Baptist, the miraculous image of Our Lady of Pherlemon, and a fragment of the true cross.
